“Judges as members of civil society are entitled to hold views about issues of the day and they may express their views provided they do not compromise their judicial office. But, they are not entitled to inject their personal views into judgments or express their political preference.” This is an extract from a judgment of the supreme court of appeal handed down unanimously on 12 January 2009.
My mind was taken back to that 2009 judgment, almost 13 years ago on reading the judgment from the Cape Town high court issued by a full bench. The case involved the embattled public protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, who had pleaded with the court to order parliament to halt her impeachment process and to nullify her suspension by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Separate the impeachment process from one high court judgment yet to be verified. The litany of judgments which found her wanting as an advocate & PP is more than sufficient for her impeachment. Side shows are inevitable yet immaterial.
In the first place, a conflicted president cannot suspend a PP investigating him. This woman has achieved far better than the any other PP before her with 3 straight clean audits. Did thuli achieve that? JZ never suspected her despite her incompetence. This clown is a joke.

This is a huge descent from the high public approval ratings he had before ascending to the presidency of both the ANC and the country, writes Mvusiwekhaya Sicwetsha. No, him and the ANC have a competence problem. The voters also have a competence problem. So it is incompetence all round as you can see by looking around. Ramaphosa doesnt have an 'image problem'. He is just a spineless sweet talker who fooled you media chaps and the gullible ones who voted for him. He is more afraid of his cabinet than he is of the people who gave him a mandate to lead.

The most apologetic president I have seen. He walks apologetically, he speaks using apologetic tone and words. He doesn't appear confident and firm as the president should. africaupdates He's a liar and a criminal. USELESS.
