Mayfair suspects caught red-handed offloading R1.8m worth of cooking oil from hijacked truck

Police have arrested 10 people in connection with the offloading of cooking oil from a truck that had been reported hijacked.

Johannesburg – The hijacking occurred in Olifantsfontein, Midrand on Tuesday and the truck was then driven to Mayfair.

Mbele said they also called the owners of the truck who arrived at the scene and confirmed the truck was not supposed to have been in the vicinity of Mayfair as that was not its destination.
