Matlaba: 'I left Swallows due to stress'

Matlaba joins fellow veteran defender 35-year-old Ricardo Nascimento to recently join the Durban-based outfit after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns.

"When referring to my health, I'm talking about stress and thinking too much. I don't want to be stressed on my way to training. Matlaba was voted as the Man of the Match in his first game for Royal AM in their 2-1 Nedbank Cup Round of 32 victory over Cape Town City FC on Saturday."I'm enjoying myself seeing that it was my first game and I did well. I helped my team with my hard work, and hard work always gets rewarded.

"But the credit must go to my teammates for allowing me the space and opening their hearts so that I can play with them and combine with them.
