According to the Buccaneers midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi, the result against Kaizer Chiefs was needed to make a statement. “I think even before we started the game, the coach told us even if they score two or three, it doesn’t matter. We are still going to win this game, no matter how hard it’s going to get,” Maswanganyi said via Pirates media.“We just have to keep going forward, put in the effort and make sure we play our own football going forward as a team and we managed to do that. Especially when we had difficulties in the game, but we managed to come back and scored twice,” added the attacking winger.
“As a player, you always want to win and play games like this, I think coming into this game we know how very important this game was, we wanted to make sure that we win or get a draw from this game.
