Police in Kutlwanong in the Free State have launched a manhunt following the discovery of an unknown male with an open wound on his forehead, and a slit throat. A cellphone with blood stains was also discovered, reportsOdendaalsrus police report that in the early hours of March 16, they were informed of the body of a male lying in the street.“The body of the unknown man was found next to house number 7727 K9 Section in Kutlwanong, Odendaalsrus.
Thakeng added that a white cap with VW written on it was found next to the deceased. “He could be plus-minus 35 years old and he was wearing navy blue trousers, an orange shirt and blue/grey sandals. A case of murder has been opened for further investigation. The body is currently being kept at the Welkom Forensic Pathology Services.”
Police are appealing to anyone who might have information to come forward by contacting Detective Warrant Officer Petrus van der Walt of Odendaalsrus Detective Services at 082-301-2797.
