Durban - Three people were injured after a car smashed through a hotel in Umhlanga and landed in its lobby in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to Kyle van Reenen from Crisis Medical Rescue, when paramedics arrived on the scene on Meridian Drive just after 2am they found a Ford Focus and a Toyota Avanza had collided. "The Ford left the roadway and smashed through the glass entrance doors of a local hotel. Three people sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
"The vehicle was found having come to a rest in the hotel foyer. The driver of the vehicle suffered moderate injuries. Remarkably no one was injured in the hotel. "The driver and passenger of the Toyota sustained minor injuries and were treated on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care."
