Johannesburg - The situation remains tense in Jeppestown and Malvern following the arrest of 25 people in connection with the looting and torching of shops in the areas over the weekend.
According to the SowetanLIVE, the blaze was allegedly started by a vengeful girlfriend after she arrived home to find her boyfriend with another woman. JMPD spokesperson Wayne Minnaar confirmed there was also looting of foreign-owned shops in the area on Sunday night as well as the torching of a car dealership.Looting & Rioting along Jules Street in Jeppestown.
