Lonely Planet’s Top 2023 Travel Destinations List Has Just Dropped [Videos]

has just revealed the best travel spots for the new year so if you do intend to take a flight at some point in 2023, you better get booking now.

The travel guide has listed 30 places to inspire you, each with a carefully crafted itinerary designed to “help you dream, plan and go to the places that will be buzzing in the year ahead”. The list of itineraries, curated by local experts, is sorted by trip type – eat, journey, connect, learn, or unwind – and intended to help you find your next adventure based on what you’re most keen on.Complementing its internationally known vineyards, South Africa’s new generation of chefs is propelling the country’s culinary scene forward making it a destination to visit not just for wine, but food as well.

I am feeling a little less petulant about the fact that November arrived without my booking an affordable flight outside of the country for the holidays. Nigeria's Polls Body Prepares for Possible Rerun in 2023 ElectionThe Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it would print concurrently, ballot papers for the presidential election and those for a re-run exercise ahead of the 2023 election in case the situation arises. The electoral body said the practice had been in existence since 1999 without public knowledge but was disclosed for the first time in line with the open policy of the INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu. The INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye has said that INEC was already planning to print double of the total number of ballot papers required for the first ballot, should in case there was rerun election. He explained that the preparations were always made alone the first because the commission had just 21 days to conduct the rerun or run-off election. The national commissioner said that before candidate could be declared winner of the presidential election, he or she must have the highest number of votes cast and secure a quarter of the votes cast in two-thirds of the states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
