Matojane had last year ruled that Zuma should return to jail and the time he spent on medical parole should not be counted as part of his sentence. The former president was granted parole two months into his 15 months direct imprisonment sentence on contempt of court charges.
Matojane is one of the candidates being interviewed by the Judicial Service Commission as it searches for judges to fill vacancies in the superior courts. Malema asked him “hypothetically”: “Is it in the best interest to incarcerate old people who are not in line with what the correctional service system seeks to achieve?”
By asking this question the EFF leader is only further embarrassing the former president by actually reaffirming the former president's guilt; that while the former president has been insisting on his 'innocence' most of the time.
Totally beneficial to all
It would be a good question if he was asking for the general public. Tis bad now that we know he is asking abt the incarceration of JZ who received favour from his [prison boss] buddy. JZ & Malema have a personal relship & that contaminates the real issue of justice.
Y'all must also note that in South Africa we don't have prisons. We have correctional service centre where we rehabilitate law offenders and reintergrate them back into society. So the question is.. how would society benefit if an 80year old man is incarcerated SuperiorLogic
Who still takes julius the clown serious?
Botha was fined instead of being send to prison, maybe Julius shud've asked why is imprisonment of elders reserved for Africans only when it comes to same crime of contempt of court? Mohlomong the Ciceronian fella wud've answered.
Do you believes someone who allegedly to stole elders money
Matojane akanangqondo nje, wasineka kuphela dololo impendulo💩🤯🤡
flip flopper wants to kill for zupta again. EFF = ANClite
A criminal defending a criminal
So 80 year old's can commit or never mind
Zuma is an 80 year old man who committed fraud and corruption .We have 80 year olds who are raping children everyday and are being sentenced to jail because they committed a crime .Zuma is no different. He must pay for his crimes .Unless if our constitution has been changed.
Tasted poison of his own medicine
Well hi did loot this country dry so he can payback all that money and spend his remaining years in jail
He should have said I don't answer stupid questions
Looking to rent a politician, Sello from Seshego's available. Fak'imali uzobona.
That's irrelevant. If that were the view of the court, then anyone 80 years or older would be able to commit crime freely. Do you know how many old age home disputes would instantly be settled by shotgun?
Julius Malema was put on his place. Priceless!!! 👌One would think that by now he knew what relevent questions to ask. He wants to use every platform for political gain.
Stupid question by a stupid politician. The law should be applied in its totality.
So boo Malema are in a political mission there?
Beautiful tweet headline. Misleading but beautiful. In short, he responded that it is Malema’s job to keep 80 year old out of jail. Thank you.
It's not about the beneficial of the society, that 80 year old man messed up the society when we believed he was a good leader in charge instead he sold us to many private underground businesses, the state of our country particularly the economy is in shambles because of him
The same Julius who went live on TV saying he wants to see Zuma in jail then u clap hands for Julius people that believe Julius are something else
Benefit shall be that law is to be respected even by the politicians
Satan Jacob Zuma is a convicted criminal. Juliarse Malema has got a few smarties missing.
It would show that no one is above the law. It will hound you down until your dying days.
