LETTER: Ban is irrational

I want to delve below the simple statement that smoking increases infection risk — the apparent grounds on which the sale of cigarettes is banned during lockdown.

anning the sale of cigarettes for a few weeks can only deprive smokers of the act of smoking, it does not repair long-term damage to the respiratory system, so presumably will not change smokers’ susceptibility to infection.

It was long over due since when have we been subjected to abuse by these nyaopes they should ban it forever we will over come without this

Between throwing away hundreds of millions in sin tax and now this confidential minute nonsense, I am starting to believe what many across ethnicity and age are saying. The government is in this for themselves only.
