Legendary SA Striker Makes Acting Debut

Former AmaZulu FC assistant coach and club legend, Siyabonga Nomvethe during the DStv Premiership match between Swallows FC and Usuthu at Dobsonville Stadium on 19 August 2022 in Johannesburg, South Africa.Bafana Bafana legendary striker, Siyabonga"Bhele" Nomvethe has kicked-off his new journey as an actor on"Uzalo," a popular SABC 1 soapie that's set in his hometown of KwaMashu.

Bhele graced our TV screens for the first time on Thursday evening, and is playing himself in a role that's set for a year, where he'll collaborate with Njinji in coaching her club, KwaMashu FC. It's quite fitting for the PSL's all-time top goalscorer to start his acting journey on a show set in his native KwaMashu and a story line that's centred around football.

The former AmaZulu, Kaizer Chiefs, Aalborg BK, and Udinese striker took to Instagram to reflect on his first steps into acting: "Who knew soccer players could act.
