Leadership Tussle Rocks Kenya's Former Ruling Party Kenya

The national executive committee passed a resolution that installed Kega as a replacement for Kioni.

The party's Vice Chairperson Adan Keynan said that Kioni's fate is in the hands of the party's internal dispute resolution committee, after the Political Parties Tribunal declined to quash the national executive committee's resolution that installed Kega as his replacement.to disperse supporters of Kioni and Kega. Former president Uhuru Kenyatta, who is the leader of the Jubilee Party, lambasted police for their actions at the party's headquarters on April 26, 2023..
