Brandon King put on a show for his home fans as he smashed a spectacular half-century to set the West Indies on course for a total of 175 for eight in their T20 International match against South Africa at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica on Thursday.King, who has been away from the West Indies side due to injury, made a triumphant return to international cricket.

King gave the West Indies a brisk start. The West Indies captain got off the mark with a boundary and dominated the strike over the next three overs. When he got on strike, Charles scored one run before Ottniel Baartman provided his side with a breakthrough. South Africa had to wait until the 11th over for another wicket, but the wait was worth it as it was the dismissal of the marauding King.

With King gone, Meyers adopted the role of the aggressor. However, his stay in the middle was short-lived as he followed King back to the dressing room 2.3 overs later.
