The two men who murdered Gift of the Givers' volunteer, 19-year-old Ameerodien Noordien, during a gang shooting that had nothing to do with him, were both sentenced to 25 years in jail by the Western Cape High Court on Monday.

The teenager had just come back from a Gift of the Givers mercy trip to the Eastern Cape to take cattle feed to farmers buckling under a severe drought.Get 14 days free to read all our investigative and in-depth journalism.
