Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe has conceded that he and his teammates are worried about the club’s recent run of results. The Glamour Boys have won just a solitary match in 2024 across all competitions. They’ve fired blanks in each of their last three, and overall this season they only have 19 goals in 23 matches in the league. Next up is a trip to beleaguered Richards Bay. Sithebe, often a bit-part player, has started recent matches against Cape Town City and Stellenbosch.
Kaizer Chiefs receive a massive boost following the return of Siyethemba Sithebe and Ashley Du Preez to training. Image Source: Although 2024 has been poor on the results front, the former Usuthu midfielder believes his side can still make a push for the tp three and qualification for continental football next season.
“We want to first secure our place in the top eight, but we want more than that. We still want to qualify for a CAF competition next season,” he said. The Kaizer Chiefs midfield needs a new lick of paint. Sibongiseni Mthethwa turns 30 in September, Yusuf Maart turns 29 this year, Siyethemba Sithebe is 31 and Castillo will be 30 next month. Perhaps a huge offer for Castillo would be too good to refuse and it could be reinvested in some fresh recruits.
