Kaizer Chiefs star Mduduzi Shabalala believes the comparisons to Orlando Pirates teenager Relebohile Mofokeng are unfair.Shabalala and Mofokeng came to prominence last season after coming through the ranks at Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates respectively. Mofokeng, however, is enjoying a more productive season in a settled environment. Shabalala has been in and out of the Chiefs first XI this term.
“He’s been introduced to a team where they’re winning and the surrounding that he has is a group that has been winning trophies and it’s easy for him to just gel in the team. But for us as youngsters here we are fighting a lot of things, we are fighting the drought of not winning and every time we step into that field we need to bring our A game”.
“And sometimes the support that we get from our fans is not enough because we play only one game and tend to be as bad players. So I’m working hard to get myself back, working to get my confidence back again. And I would say I’m on the right track and the coaches and the players are helping me to get where I was before”.Do you think Mdu and Mofokeng can combine for Bafana Bafana one day?
