Congolese forward Andy Boyeli has joined Sekhukhune United despite being linked with a possible move to Kaizer Chiefs.‘s radar. On Thursday, Babina Noko confirmed that Boyeli has put pen to paper on a three-year contract.
“The Congolese goal ace joins Babina Noko on a three-year contract and is expected to arrive in Johannesburg early next week to join his new teammates for pre-season having spent the break in his native country,” Sekhukhune said in a statement. With Nasreddine Nabi set to join Kaizer Chiefs, it was believed that Boyeli could be his first signing but Sekhukhune has snatched the Congolese. According to, Dynamos CEO Gibson Chaloba said the club had not received any enquiry from Chiefs or Pirates.
“I can categorically state that I’ve never received any enquiry from Kaizer Chiefs regarding Andy Boyeli,” Chaloba told the publication.Before the Sekhukhune deal was finalised, Chaloba claimed no PSL clubs had shown major interest in the striker“He’s a player we would sell if there’s a proper suitor. If someone has a good offer, we’d consider it. We’ve read rumours. We’ve seen on social media , but basically, there’s nothing. We’re ready to sit and discuss if there’s any suitors.
