Kaizer Chiefs have suffered 10 league defeats so far this season but could break their record of most losses in a season very soon.

Kaizer Chiefs may end up with an unwanted record for the highest number of defeats since the start of the PSL era.

Amakhosi are in danger of missing out on a top-eight finish after another devastating defeat on Sunday.. The team has struggled to produce results this season and is currently in 10th place on the log with only six matches remaining. Kaizer Chiefs suffered 12 defeats last season, which was a club record at the time. Following their fifth-place finish, Arthur Zwane was demoted as coach at the end of the season, and Molefi Ntski was promoted. Cavin Johnson was then appointed as the interim coach for the remainder of the season. The 65-year-old started well but he has since struggled to steady the ship in the second half of the season. With only six matches to go, Kaizer Chiefs are at risk of breaking their record for the number of defeats and may not even make it to the top 10. The Glamour Boys finished fifth on 44 points last season and are currently 14 points off that target. With SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns still to play, Amakhosi could equal their most number of losses in a season.Six matches remain for Kaizer Chiefs to save their season and avoid an unwanted record.
