Justice Yvonne Mokgoro's partner, children at war over funeral, as he denies blame for her death

Retired Constitutional Court Justice Yvonne Mokgoro's partner of 14 years, David Mmelesi, has accused her children of unfairly excluding him from her funeral planning, after strongly denying he was to blame for the car crash that preceded her death.

"I beg you to allow me to attend her funeral may I please be allowed to attend her send-off, as this is the only and final moment I shall have, like you, to say goodbye to one whom I dearly loved and dedicated my latter years to," Mmelesi stated in a 11 May letter to Mokgoro's family. "I also plead that you allow me to write a short message that will say goodbye to her and that it be read as testament of my love, dedication, loyalty and respect for her till the end of her days."South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
