Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng has announced that it will be business as usual at various courts across the country with “cases continuing as normal”.

Mogoeng made the announcement on Tuesday as he outlined the measures that would be implemented by the judiciary at all courts across the country in an effort to combat Covid-19.

Mogoeng also said that it was “imperative” that all courts “have running water and toilet paper” to enforce necessary hygiene measures to stop the spread of Covid-19. This announcement by the judiciary followed close on the heels of the department of labour announcing its own measures to combat the spread of the virus at work places.
