Overcrowded SA prisons hotbeds of suicide, rape and homicide, says judgeOvercrowding, suicides, rape and homicide. This is the current state inside South African prisons. Don't release them, rather build more prisons. We are at crisis levels because of the high rate of crime. Those criminals are there due to their own doing. At least they are in an ovetcrowded place, their victims are dead and most suffer long term effects of their ordeal. So pls. Correct me if im wrong, isnt the whole point of a prison supposed to be PUNISHMENT not a luxurious stay. prison should be like this! No hot water, 1 meal a day and total discomfort. Not for taxpayers to pay for criminals to live a happy relaxed life. Build more jails. We can't release criminals.
