Louis Lynagh scored a try on debut as Italy overturned a first-half deficit to beat Scotland for their first Six Nations home win in 11 years in Rome on Saturday.

31-29, ending the Scots’ championship title hopes and handing Ireland the chance to win the championship with a match to spare.

Italy hadn’t won at home since beating Ireland in 2013 but came out on top in a match that will live long in the memory of the country’s long-suffering rugby fans, who roared with delight after a nail-biting finish.
