Two Italian commentators will be suspended over sexist and racist remarks made during the women's synchronised diving event at the World Aquatics Championships in Japan. | Sport24news

Among the salacious remarks made by the commentators at the championships in Fukuoka this week, comments were exchanged on how"big" some of the divers were, adding that"anyway, they're all the same size in bed".

In a letter to daily Corriere della Sera, Leonarduzzi wrote that he was unaware that he had been on air at the time and that his remarks did not reflect his true opinions. In 2018, RAI also had to reprimand Leonarduzzi over a Facebook post in which he sent birthday wishes to German dictator Adolf Hitler, who was born on 20 April in 1889."World Aquatics fully supports Italian broadcaster RAI's decision to suspend two journalists for their commentary during the World Aquatics Championships - Fukuoka 2023," the statement said.
