Despite the SuperSport United's struggles, and challenges that came with the departures of head coach Kaitano Tembo and star midfielder Teboho Mokoena, forward Iqraam Rayners has backed the club to improve next season.Speaking toKICK OFF, the 26-year-old, who joined United from Stellenbosch FC in 2020, shared his belief that he and his teammates can challenge for continental football again while aiming to compete for silverware in the domestic cup competitions as well. 

"We can compete against the likes of Cape Town City, Royal AM and Kaizer Chiefs," Rayners said."All season long, we should have beaten a lot of these teams, but things just weren’t happening for us."Sometimes you need that little bit of luck to win those games which we didn't always get. That said, you also need to have that killer instinct to win those games, which we didn’t always have either, but sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesn't.
