Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim country, and its constitution recognises six religions.

Sex outside marriage could only be reported by a spouse, parents or children, drastically limiting the scope of the amendment, he said. There are already dozens of national and local regulations that affect LGBTQ people, and some have been arrested on charges of lewd conduct under anti-pornography laws.
