The Uru-eu-wau-wau Indigenous Territory lies in the heart of the state of Rondônia in the western Amazon. For decades, the land has suffered heavy deforestation driven by agricultural expansion, especially cattle ranching and soybean farming, and mining.), which revealed the challenges the Indigenous groups in the Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau territory faced from invaders and land grabbers from 2018 to 2021.
