It will be the first time the Hague-based ICC - set up in 2002 as an independent tribunal to probe the world's worst crimes - will take part in a joint investigation with other countries.
The agreement"aims to facilitate investigations and prosecutions in the concerned states as well as those that could be taken forward before the ICC," Eurojust said. "Ukraine is a crime scene. We're here because we have reasonable grounds to believe that crimes within the jurisdiction of the court are being committed," Khan said at the time.
I don't understand the meaning of 'POSSIBLE' crimes. I also don't understand the word 'PROBE' in this context. Are they that blind or maybe they have not been following the war. Can someone please send them a link no investigations needed its right there infront of you.
And just like the US, Russia isn’t part of the ICC so therefore any ruling made can’t be enforced 🤦♂️ Remember the ICC wanted to investigate the US and… nothing happened
What constitutes an international crime and a war crime? Is it the killing of innocent people or just how they are killed? Is it only a crime if you kill them in the 'normal' way and a crime if you used unconventional methods like gas.
Horrendous crimes have been committed, really glad it is getting all the support. Crimes committed by Russians against Ukrainians are still being uncovered daily. Let's leave the discussion on those countries.
Who will blame Putin if he borrows a page from the US?😁
Both Russia and the US are not signatories to the ICC. For different reasons of course. But the US was on record👇
