“I could have died, by the way, because my [injury] was severe. I had damages internally. My intestines were damaged; I had a major operation. The doctor told me that I was lucky. If I had not been attended to [so quickly], I could have died, so I must be grateful that my operation was a success. I am still recovering from that, but work needs to be done, the people need to be served.“It’s going to take a bit of time, but I’m able to do things, my mind is not damaged,” he says.
“I am going to the people with confidence as the son of the city. People know my credibility and what I am capable of, and what I am made of. Therefore, I am not going to hide from the people because I know they trust me. I can tell you that the majority of our people have been praying for me, for my recovery – that’s why I’ve recovered so quickly, because people are praying. And I’m grateful that God spared my life.
