More than a hundred houses in Ngangu township in Chimanimani were destroyed.

Rescuers are in a race against time to reach the missing before its too late, all this under the watchful eyes of survivors lucky enough to have escaped but now in anguish as they wait hoping their loved ones and neighbors might be among those still coming in the next flight.
