Mthokozisi Ntumba , from Auckland Park, was shot while leaving a clinic in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, and was caught in the crossfire as police were firing rubber bullets at the protesting Wits students on March 10.
Human Rights Watch’s southern Africa director, Dewa Mavhinga, said that Ntumba and his family deserved justice, which required nothing less than the meting out of punishment to the police officers responsible for the “recklesss use of lethal force.” Whenever the lawful use of force is unavoidable, it must be with restraint and proportional to the seriousness of the offence.Ntumba, who was wearing a blue t-shirt and red cap, is seen ducking for cover behind a red car while holding his chest.
Mavhinga said, based on the evidence reviewed, the Human Rights Watch believed that it is likely the police fired rubber projectiles rather than live ammunition.

They must use batons not guns clearly they don't know when to use them
Policemen lives also matters, people will kill all of them knowing they are defenseless
It must be banned and discarded it has no place in a rights based proffessionized& demilitarized police service. Live ammunition sgould be used by special tactical units when facing similarly armed groups or individuals
