We spoke to Standard Bank Mobile and Capitec Connect about the future of mobile virtual network operators in South Africa.

Standard Bank Mobile and Capitect Connect believe there is still plenty of room for growth in the mobile virtual network operator .

MyBroadband asked Afrihost Air Mobile, Capitect Connect, FNB Connect, and Standard Bank Mobile about what’s next for MVNOs in South Africa. Standard Bank Mobile head Kartik Mistry said MVNOs can offer great value for businesses and consumers, and that there is still plenty of room for providers to grow.

“Capitec recognises the evolving landscape of the telecommunications market in South Africa,” it said. The company says its goal is to establish telecommunications relationships with its clients, rooted in the same fundamentals of its banking business.
