Houses, cars destroyed in Cape Town blaze

A number of firefighters were injured and taken to hospital. Several vehicles and homes have been destroyed. CourtesyCAPE TOWN - Firefighters are monitoring certain spots after containing a fire on Tafelberg Road in Cape Town.

Several vehicles and homes were destroyed after the fire broke out on the slopes of Table Mountain on Sunday afternoon.READ:"Currently we have 30 firefighting appliances and over 230 firefighters still on scene. "Luckily for us today, the wind has died down quite a lot. As you know there were several houses that had been lost in this fire and a number of vehicles that were sparked on Signal Hillside area," said Carelse.
