In his 34 years of service with the SA National Parks , Paddy Gordon has always made it his mission to empower communities around the national parks he manages.

Gordon has worked at seven national parks and is currently manager at the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in Clarens, eastern Free State. "Nobody taught me this. No university. SANParks taught me that in the communities around you, if you can make a difference, you must make a difference.
