Midfielder James Rodriguez scored a stunning hat-trick in Bayern's 6-0 thrashing of Mainz on Sunday.

BERLIN - James Rodriguez says he is happy at Bayern Munich after another brilliant performance from the on-loan Colombian over the weekend raised further questions about his immediate future.

"Nobody can predict the future," Rodriguez told Sport1. "We will have to wait and see, but I feel comfortable here, and I am happy." Their relationship was not always so good. Earlier in the season, German media reported that Rodriguez had openly criticised the Bayern coach.

VAR is strangling the life out of the beautiful gameThe sub-Alpine tranquillity of Bavaria is an unlikely crucible for radical protest, but the white heat of dissent emanated from a section of Bayern Munich's fans at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night. Would I rather a 3 minute delay to not give the opposition an offside goal against my team? Yes. Luddites, all. What a misleading headline. What’s VAR.? Does it take decisions.? Does it talk.? VAR gives referees an opportunity to use monitors to replay some of the critical game changing decisions. Referees take the decisions at the end. Let’s us not get confused. Blame poor officiating.
