Group of leading scientists come out in support of Glenda Gray who dared to criticise lockdown regulations

“We recognise that it is impossible to have perfected the response to the epidemic, but course correction should be rapid and not defensive. With that in mind, we condemn the specific threat made against prof Glenda Gray for expressing her opinion in public, which is totally out of step with the public pronouncements made by the President, welcoming criticism.

Gray is a member of the Ministerial Advisory Committee , a group of scientists tasked with advising the government during the Covid-19 pandemic., Gray said the MAC had not been consulted on any of the lockdown regulations and added that malnutrition cases were being seen at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital due to the strict lockdown regulations.

These so-called leading scientists should devote their time in helping to find a remedy for the virus instead of supporting reckless statements by some know it all characters. Despite their impeccable academic credentials, they are not experts on Lockdown, no one is.

Nonsensical! What freedom of speech? Prof Gray failed to read numbers at her disposal thus wrongly accusing Government. She used hearsays to advance her argument instead of empirical evidence. So is this a case of defending mediocrity or a person at all costs?

They should have said Wits scientist

Whoop hoop. Freedom of speech , I salute those scientists.. now someone needs to step up and defend our freedom of CHOICE!

Seems very much that those with DR titles are taken in those with PROF titles.. who do you believe?
