Govt workers to 'loyally execute duties' no matter who’s in charge after elections, says minister

Public servants won't be drawn into the transfer of political power after the May general election as all state workers will continue to"loyally execute the lawful policies of the government of the day".

This is according to Public Service and Administration Minister Noxolo Kiviet who has reiterated that the public administration will be protected from political interference and abuse. Responding to a written parliamentary question from DA MP Leon Schreiber, Kiviet said the larger public service would remain untouched should a completely new government be elected after 29 May.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
