The government will spend R25 million in an operation by the defence force to repatriate 151 South Africans from China to SA following the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The figures are contained in a letter by President Cyril Ramaphosa to the Speaker, Thandi Modise, and National Council of Provinces chairperson Amos Masondo on Thursday.

Ramaphosa said 151 members of the South African National Defence Force will be deployed for the operation.

From initial reports the amount was R80 million, still said to my wife, seems a few connected cadres are scoring big again.

It doesn’t cost 25mil for a 151 tickets back from China!!! Seriously this is wasteful expenditure

Will cost a max of 2 million, where is the other 23 million going? which ANC thief?
