Geelbek Restaurant in the West Coast National Park closes its doors

This comes after South African National Parks in the West Coast National Park announced that their contract with the current operator will expire on 30 April 2022.

They added that the interest of all parties involved is to ensure that tourism to the West Coast National Park and the broader West Coast Region continues without interruption. Known for its remarkable Sunday buffets, Christmas and family lunches, the Geelbek Restaurant has been part of the lives of Langebaan residents for decades dating back to the 1700s. Visitors and residents enjoy its outstanding hospitality during flower seasons in August and September months.

We regret to inform you that our restaurant will only be operating until the end of April. SANParks have decided to close the venue and continue with three food trailers to assist visitors.”
