Three years on, one Johannesburg woman's former partner and abuser is still roaming free.

Afraid to go to sleep and living in fear that her attacker will return to finish the job has been the reality for this woman."He stabbed in my arms, back, back of my thigh, my breasts, my legs, my ribs... he was the stabbing everywhere," the woman recalled.

"My small intestine and part of the liver, the surgeon had to repair those, were affected and that had to be repaired in theatre, I think. I was also told that I had to be transfused nine or 10 units of blood.""This guy was phoning people telling them that he knows where I am and he was gonna come and finish me off."There had to be extra security at the hospital at the ICU because they were scared for my life.

"There is a possibility that he might not be in the country but now that she saying, the victim, thinks she might have spotted him. It's important she urgently brings this to the attention of the investigators."
