Gauteng records 67% spike in new Covid-19 infections as death toll climbs to 57 879

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases , a division of the National Health Laboratory Service, reported that 5,552 new Covid-19 cases have been identified in South Africa, representing in an 18.5% positivity rate.As of Monday, there were 12,223,448 tests conducted in both public and private sectors as per the table below:

The majority of new cases today are from the Gauteng province , followed by the Western Cape and North West provinces.

I don't trust Gauteng Health Dep.

What happened to the Nasrec facility set up for covid patients... with beds and all. Will come in handy right now...
