MEC Mbali Hlophe committed her department to clean governance and transparency with respect to the NPO funding environment.
Gauteng non-profit organisations are celebrating a ruling by the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg which compels the provincial Department of Social Development to address the funding crisis affecting NPOs across the province. "We are delighted at the ruling in our favour, and it shows the legitimacy of our crisis," said Lisa Vetten, chairperson of the Gauteng Care Crisis Committee .
