SPCA manager Mandy Cattanach says four of the six dogs were handed over to them to be put down.

A gardener of three years going about his daily duties on a property on Malcolm Road in Ruimsig, Roodepoort, was attacked by six pit bull terriers on Wednesday afternoon, reports theAccording to BCI Security’s media liaison officer, Gary Jordaan, information about the incident was received through an emergency WhatsApp group that led them to dispatch one of their Ruimsig-based vehicles.

“The SPCA was contacted by members of the police, who asked for assistance as they required assistance with the six pit bull terriers that were attacking a person on the property. “The SPCA will not be taking any steps against the owner as he signed four of the six dogs over to the SPCA to be euthanised,” she explained.
