Mahlonoko, 20, was once heralded as one of the rising stars of South African football after becoming Orlando Pirates' youngest-ever player in 2018He struggled for game-time thereafter and parted ways with the Buccaneers in favour of a move to Baroka in 2020, before joining Pretoria Callies on loan ahead of the current campaign.
Mahlonoko was not named among those who will part ways with the GladAfrica Championship outfit but he confirmed on Monday that he will be taking an indefinite break from the game.
