Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United forward Jose Ali Meza has completed a big-money move after parting ways with the Team of Choice. Read more here ➡️

Meza's contract with Maritzburg United was terminated by mutual agreement earlier this month after he failed to make his way back into the team following However, the Venezuelan forward has not remained on the free agents' list for long after he was officially unveiled as a new signing by Bolivian top-flight side, Always Ready, on Tuesday evening.

According to local publication Balonazos, Meza has penned a year-long deal with Always Ready for the 2022 season and rejected a competing offer from the club's domestic rivals, Real Santa Cruz. The 30-year-old previously enjoyed a prolific spell in Bolivia with Oriente Petrolero between 2016 and 2018 where he is reported to have scored an impressive 32 goals in 73 appearances across all competitions.

That form served as the basis for his move to Mamelodi Sundowns, where he failed to replicate his goalscoring exploits before joining Maritzburg United in 2020.
