Former Kaizer Chiefs captain says the Carling Knockout Cup is there for the taking especially with Sundowns being knocked out.

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso believes Sekhukhune United can go all the way and win the Carling Knockout Cup.He left Amakhosi in 2022 to join Sekhukhune United.Speaking ahead of the quarterfinal game of the Carling Knockout against TS Galaxy, Cardoso said the cup was there for the taking.

“It’s a new cup in total. This cup is for the taking for anybody but that doesn’t mean it will be easy one to win because every team in the division is proving week in week out that they can beat anyone,” the former Kaizer Chiefs captain was quoted on“Galaxy have been doing well. They beat Sundowns in this cup, so they also got a lot of inspiration. They are playing tonight and we had no midweek game, so that’s an advantage for us to go there with more energy,” Cardoso said.

Sekhukhune have had a tough start to the season, only winning three times in the DStv Premiership so far.
