Former Arsenal player Kevin Campbell has died aged 54 after a “short illness,” the Premier League club announced on Saturday.

Former Arsenal, Everton and Nottingham Forest striker and soccer commentator Kevin Campbell died at 54.According to reports, he had been in hospital for two weeks before his death was announced on Saturday.“Kevin was adored by everyone at the club,” Arsenal said on social media.stated that Campbell scored 148 goals in 542 appearances across spells with eight clubs during his career.

Not just a true Goodison Park hero and icon of the English game, but an incredible person as well – as anyone who ever met him will know.Campbell scored 45 Premier League goals for Everton, becoming their fifth-highest goalscorer in the competition and their first-ever Black captain. Tyrese, a 24-year-old striker, has spent the past seven seasons in the Championship side of Stoke City.
