Lieutenant Colonel Tiisetso Sekgobela was welcomed back after a year, together with hundreds of her soldiers in the 7 South African Infantry Battalion.

Lieutenant Colonel Tiisetso Sekgobela is the SANDF's first-ever woman to command a fighting battalion in peace enforcement operations in the DRC.

"I believe that if you are passionate and loving what you doing on a daily basis, it's possible. For me, it is for my daughter to see nothing is impossible. As an African woman, as an African child, you can dream and reach whatever you want. Definitely, more women are needed in these types of situations."

Zulu king Goodwill Zwelithini's annual imbizo to include women for first timeZulu king Goodwill Zwelithini has convened an annual imbizo for the Zulu nation in Ulundi on Thursday where he will address his subjects, which also include women for the first time. As for the small letter king - we see you all you newspapers serve a similar interest of belittling black leadership. Hands off our Zulu King zinja!!! ...are we not a Republic? Where do all these Kings and Queens and money suckers fit in? Why can't the Zulus only and themselves fund this money sucking little Kingdom? At what cost? Who is going to pay? Hope just Zulu taxpayers!! Am certainly NOT Zulu! But hey...white taxpayers money is good enough for such functions!!!
