'We are waiting for people to challenge us.'

These are the words of Dr Nicholas Crisp, a former state doctor, health consultant and olive farmer who has come out of retirement to set up an office for National Health Insurance , which the government wants fully implemented by 2026.

Crisp, who has known health minister Zweli Mkhize for 30 years, has been asked to have the 50- to 80-person office up and running by January...A subscription gives you full digital access to all Times Select content.
