Fashion highlights from the Met Gala 2019

The eagerly awaited Met Gala was held Monday, May 6 in New York, with this year’s theme — “Camp: Notes on Fashion” — calling for a certain degree of extravagance.

Both male and female guests got creative to make this red carpet parade one of the year’s most impressive yet, playing with volume, sparkle and shine, asymmetric designs and eccentric accessories.Picture: Getty Images Lady Gaga put on quite a show, revealing her four Brandon-Maxwell-designed outfits in a fashion striptease. The star wore a fuschia pink coat, a black dress, a second electric pink satin dress and crystal-embellished underwear.Gwen Stefani stepped out in a bejeweled mini dress, worn with an impressive coat, both by Moschino.Emily Blunt wore a sumptuous gold-colored and embroidered creation from Michael Kors Collection.Miley Cyrus wore an asymmetrical Saint Laurent mini dress.

Jennifer Lopez wore a long Versace dress with a revealing slit, finished with shimmering embellishments and Swarovski crystals.
