Transition to low carbon energy sources is required to stay in export business, minister says

SA’s just energy transition plans do not suggest a rapid phasing out of coal as the country’s primary fuel source for energy generation.

However, without a gradual transition to low-carbon energy, which would include a move away from coal towards renewable sources of energy, the country will struggle to export goods and services that have a large carbon footprint, says minister of forestry, fisheries & environment Barbara Creecy...

Better to stick with diesel then?

Well they seem to have moved to diesel.

I’m 100% convinced that the people in Govt lack some sort of critical thinking or they are being told what to say 😂😅🤔. Thungela, Exxaro, Glencore all made record profit in coal exports so one begs to think what is Creecy on about 🤦🏽‍♂️

Creecy is clearly smoking some of her legal weed.

Let’s just don’t export coal than!.
